You need to change the popup url in the settings. By default it is this site. It needs to be your site.

I get about 20 of these a day from people who do not change the default settings.

    Sorry for the confusion.

Aye, got it, you are in wp exit popup!
    FIXED
THX for this priceless lesson, Keith
    LOL

  3. Keith says:

You can’t. Most browsers don’t allow it.

  4. hi your exit plugin is great but how do i edit the html to write a message on the popup? thanks

  5. Keith says:

My plugin uses the WordPress API call to get the count of unmoderated comments. Intense Debate must be doing something else with them. I will download the Intense Debate plugin if it is available and see if I can see anything. It is hard to read other people’s code, especially complicated systems like Intense Debate.

    Dear Keith,

Thank you very much for this plug-in, which has stopped hundreds of thousands of sploggers. I have purchased one of your books, and have also made a donation. However, I have a problem. The plug-in keeps telling me that there are comments awaiting moderation, but when I click on the link, Intense Debate tells me that there are no comments awaiting moderation. Can you suggest how I should resolve this discrepancy? Thank you very much

I have updated the plugin and the beta test can be downloaded at https://www.blogseye.com/beta-test.php

I am using a plugin called Theme My Login. It seems to be using signup_email for a field name rather than the others. I’ve tried adding that to stop-spammer-registrations.php but I can’t get any email value passed in to kpg_sfs_check

  9. graftedin says:

I think you have a coding error in stop-spammer-registrations.php at line 693. You are checking bad domains against $em which looks like the full email address including the @. I think you are supposed to be passing $emdomain[1] in to kpg_sp_searchi rather than $em. That would explain why my black listed domains aren’t getting checked. What do you think?

  10. Keith says:

I don’t know. Are you using the wp-signup.php program for users to sign up are are you using a plugin or theme to sign up new users?

I will go back into the wordpress signup process and see if there is a way they are getting around the plugin.

  11. graftedin says:

Domains that have been added to the “Blocked Email Domains” are still being allowed to register. Ex. 126.com

    Why?

  12. Keith says:

I think what was happening is that the plugin was not updating the categories correctly. The pages are all there, but they are not showing in the categories.

    Keith

  13. Keith says:

I have no idea why that would happen. I need to redo the plugin to make it work better with new releases of WordPress, and I have had lots of suggestions for improving it. I am running it at my MU test site https://www.gthread.com and it seems to be working fine. I have been tweaking it over the last year so I should make sure that the zip on the site is up to date.

I am using your Rss2Post plugin and it is fantastic.

But whenever it runs all of my pages are deleted from wordpress & my custom menus are also deleted.

Is there a way to stop this?

Someone is looking for a post or page called “not_found E3C_Validator/1.3” and WordPress can’t find it. The IP address is marked at Project Honeypot as being a possible spammer.

    Keith

  16. Why am I getting this error after installing the Permalink Finder plugin?
    08/11/2012 20:16:17 /not_found W3C_Validator/1.3 128.30.52.73 Not found – slug:not-found, loose url:not-found

    Thanks.

    Hello, Keith!

I’ve downloaded and installed your Stop Spammers Plugin and noticed that you asked for people to purchase your book if they wanted to show their support. I just purchased three of your books to let you know how much I appreciate your plugin.

I’m officially launching my site on Monday and already I’ve received over 40 bogus registrations on my site…5 of them just since yesterday. I installed your plugin this morning and according to the Stop Spammer settings page, 5 bogus registrations have already been stopped! My users list, so far, is clean with only genuine registered users. I thought all these bogus registrations wer going to be a growing problem for me as the site gets more traffic, but I think your plugin is going to make a huge difference. THANK YOU!

You might be interested in checking out our site as we are offering online creative writing classes and editing services for self-published authors. Small world, huh? 😉 https://www.mysticalpress.com

Thanks again for the plugin. I can’t promise when I’ll be reading your stories. I’m swamped with getting this site launched, writing my own steampunk, fantasy and paranormal novels, freelance editing projects and composing more classes for the site. If and when I do read them, I’ll be sure to let you know.

    Thanks!!

The gif file covers the original image, so if it did not stretch, it would not be able to cover odd size images.

An image consisting of text would work better, I guess, because the text would stretch, but still be readable.

    Keith

  19. Matt says:

trying out your no-right-click plugin, is there a way to keep the not.gif from stretching?
would like to create a new .gif using font.

    thanks!
