I’ve been at my new job for three weeks now. I have not been able to do much, in fact it took two weeks to give me access to the data repository.
The downside is that I cannot work on any of my side projects. I am in a “pit” alongside a 40 foot row of other programmers and have only limited access to the internet. I do not have admin rights on my machine so I can’t install software.
The plus side is that I am only 15 minutes away from home and have even gone home for lunch a couple of times.
I am still waiting for something concrete to work on. I finished the small project that I was given, but I have many questions about it.
