Thanks Keith for the fast answer, I am looking at the 404 errors and i see a lot of them coming from forums, so that might be bots or spiders looking around. I will keep an eye out to see if anything changes, all the permalinks are being directed perfectly and people are finding my pages. Thanks for the help and plugin.
If the site is working then the redirected links might heal over time. You can check who is linking to your site incorrectly, and if it is you then you have to fix the links. If it is someone else, you might not be able to do anything. The 404 errors sound like someone is linking to your site to a page that doesn’t exist, or else it is spiders looking to see if you installed some vulnerable software.
I have been using the plugin, its working great again. I just am not sure what i am suppose to do with all the fixed permalinks and 404 errors that are unfixed? do i keep just clearing them or is there a way to fix all the 404 error codes so they do not keep showing up? I see many apple touch errors and different ones i do not understand.
I’m using your stop-spammers plugin at that site. Just an fyi, keep seeing the following error:
Error number: 8
Error type: Run-time notices. Indicate that the script encountered something that could indicate an error, but could also happen in the normal course of running a script.
Error Msg: Undefined index: administrator
File name: /home/pioneer/public_html/wp-content/plugins/stop-spammer-registrations-plugin/includes/stop-spam-reg-checks.php
Line Number: 46
I think you need to change that line from:
if ($caps[‘administrator’]) {
to:
if ( isset ($caps[‘administrator’]) && $caps[‘administrator’] ) {
I tried to deactivate the plugin and then reactivating it. I still couldnt find the it anywhere. How could i uninstall it completely so i can reinstall it, and if i do will it mess up all the links it found?
I have been using your plugin permalink finder for awhile. its a great plugin. Today i logged into my wordpress and it says the plugin is activated, however i can not find it anywhere in the tools or any option area anymore. I don’t know if this is a new problem or just wordpress. I have been in the settings before to see everything but now there is no place to find the settings. Should i deactivate it or uninstall and see if that works or is it a bug in wordpress itself?
Writing plugins is not very hard. It is a wonderful way to learn and get experience with PHP. It is easy to get started writing simple plugins, although it can get complicated fast.
I just downloaded your permalink finder plugin and I am going to give it a try. I found your website while searching for Info on PHP programing. I want to be able to create plugins as well. Just thought I would let you know that I bought your kindle Ebook for my new Kindle Paperwhite. I am on the first short story and its very good. Good luck with the sale of your book and thanks for a great website and plugins. Sure hope I can build them like you.:)
Hello! Maybe you can help me out.. After installing RSS2Post plugin, my blogs pages would have this error on top:
Warning: preg_match() [FUNCTION.PREG-MATCH]: Compilation failed: nothing to repeat at offset 1 in /home/undernyc/public_html/wp/wp-includes/class-wp.php on line 201
Warning: preg_match() [FUNCTION.PREG-MATCH]: Compilation failed: nothing to repeat at offset 1 in /home/undernyc/public_html/wp/wp-includes/class-wp.php on line 202
I disabled the plugin and removed it.. the errors still exist. Any help to resolving this issue?
I never use wp-login.php – it is never mentioned in the plugin.
It does check to see if you are logged in. It allows logged in users to copy images by default. You should uncheck the box that allows logged in users to copy images, or log off, before you test the plugin.
But why does No Right Click-plug in need the page wp-login.php? I use to change that page’s name just because to avoid hackers. When I changed the name of the login-page the plugin doesn’t work.
Thanks,
The kindle book only costs 99¢ and I make about 30¢. It does improve my amazon rank which may, I hope, improve my sales in the future. So far a few nice people are helping out and some day I will be on the New York Times best seller list.
Thanks SO much for your stop spammers plugin. It has saved me from more than 4500 sploggers already. Very well done! And yes, I bought the book.
Best wishes

You can copy the javascript code from the plugin and paste it into your other programs near the end of the page. There is no real logic in the plugin. It just loads the javascript into the bottom of the page. javascript does all the work.
I’m using your collapse pages plugin. It works great; thank you for making it. Quick question: how can I tweak it to make a second left-click compress the list, instead of having to use a right-click for that purpose?
Thank you so much for your ‘disable right click’ plug-in. I just started my first blog a few weeks ago and am attempting to learn all this new computer language. I put together pics in photoshop quite often and don’t want them used ‘without discretion’ so to speak, all over the web. I appreciate that you have made it so easy for people who are not computer savvy!
Thank you so much for your ‘No right click images’ plugin!
It helped me alot!
God Bless! 🙂
I’m back in, thank you!

Hi Keith,
reposting your bee-keeping blog at https://www.pioneervalley.info/category/great-outdoors/flora-and-fauna. Sorry you and the bees had such a rough winter!
I’m using your stop-spammers plugin at that site. Just an fyi, keep seeing the following error:

You’ll have to uninstall it completely. You may have to restore some settings, but it will work the same.
Keith
I tried to deactivate the plugin and then reactivating it. I still couldnt find the it anywhere. How could i uninstall it completely so i can reinstall it, and if i do will it mess up all the links it found?
This is a problem with a small number of blogs. I am working on it.
For now, uninstall the plugin and reinstall. This always fixes things.
I have not figured out what the problem is. I am going to rewrite the installation process from scratch and retest the plugin.
Keith

Look at your logs and check why they are not being permitted to log in. Give me the details and I will investigate.
Next: Uninstall the plugin.
Oh! Man One Of Your Plugin Is Not Allowing My Users To Log In – What Should I Do Now…
Please Revert Fast I Am In A Trouble…
Please implement the feature in Permalink finder which allows us to exclude some URLS not to be matched and redirected. Thanks.
It is the permalink structure that is screwed up.
Try going into settings and changing to the default permalink structure, save the settings and then go back and use a custom permalink structure.
This is the error when the permalinks are corrupt.
My plugin doesn’t touch permalinks.

Don’t forget to leave a star at wordpress.org for the plugin. And, if you really really like the plugin you can spend 99¢ on the kindle book.
Keith
Thank you for the ‘Open in New Window Plugin!’
It couldn’t have been easier to set up, and it saved a lot of time.
Aah I see. Thanks for your fast respond and answer. =)

The easy way to test it is to go to any post and then delete or change a word from the url in the browser’s location. So you might change https://www.yoursite.com/blog/this-is-my-permalink to https://www.yoursite.com/blog/this-is-your-permalink (replace the my with your). Press enter and see if it redirects you to the right page.
Keith
Hi,
I recently added your Permalink Finder plug-in to my WordPress Site. How can I check if it’s actually rebuilding broken links?
I had purchased a plug-in called Digi-link, but I had to manually re-link things, which was a major pain, but at least I could see what it was doing.
I switched to Permalink Finder to automate the process, but would like to see that it’s working. Any thoughts?
“I am typing using the iPad WordPress app. Not exactly easy, but still sort of neat.”
to be honest: that was the final reason to buy a wireless keyboard:)
I like the permalink finder.
Thanks,
