The first release of my plugin that wraps static pages with a WordPress them has been let loose to the world.
It took less time than I thought to create the Static-Pages plugin. I have it working now on about 3,000 pages and a custom variation (that reads text files) on about 5,000 other pages. I will be installing it on my CThreePO.com website next week.
It works pretty well and I had fewer problems than I though displaying old pages inside a WordPress theme. Every once in a while I find an old web page with hard coded headings and menus, but most of them had been shifted over to a more or less standard format using server side includes.
This plugin may take off or join 20 or so of my other plugins that go nowhere.
