403 Forbidden

This site started getting 403 forbidden messages for no good reason. I am not sure what is going on.

I am using the bleeding edge nightlies beta versions of  WordPress here, so I think they broke something last night at wordpress.org.

🙁 I still hope you can find a way to break it

It is back again. The site was out last night, getting 403 errors. I don’t know why. I was fiddling with the .htaccess, trying to block some IPs that were hitting my wp-login.php with random passwords.

This is my TEST site and I break it frequently. There are periods when a plugin or modification breaks the site and it is unavailable.

I get very few users, maybe 200 a day, and most of them are not real users, just people who dropped in from some random Google search.

I make no money off of this stuff, so it’s not like a breaking it is a big deal.

So Keith, what do I do to fix the problem?

Fixed it. I had been blocking referrers with cheap in URL, so when google indexed my ipad for (cheap) authors post, nobody could see it.
