MyBlogLog Statistics Alternatives

I am looking for an alternative to MyBlogLog stats. I may have to write my own.

I already have Google Analytics on my sites, but it is too complicated. Basically what I want is to see who has been hitting my site and where they came from on a daily basis. I’d also like to see where they are clicking, but that is not really necessary. I have an outbound click tracker somewhere that I could adapt for this, though.

I tried getclicky, but it put ads on my site. I don’t like ads. When I do ads I use adsense and I control where it appears and how it looks. I have dropped ad providers that do popups or other intrusive ads and I immediately dropped the clicky thing when I saw what they were doing.

Most other stat sites put ads up when you use the free stuff. I don’t blame them, but I won’t use them either.

I guess it’s time to roll my own solution.

Try histats.com. I use it on all of my sites and love it, unlike Google Analytics which is most of the time too overwhelming for me.

Btw histats is 100% free and has no ads. You don’t even have to show the counter to your visitors, or if you want to there’s plenty of different ones available.

    Jim,

I need a non-plugin solution. About half my sites are not WP sites. Even on the WP sites I still have pages that I have not imported. I need a nice javascript solution that will ignore the spiders and spammers and tell me who is visiting what. I stand a better chance of only counting real people if the solution is js as most spiders don’t execute the js.

    Keith –

Not exactly sure what you need but have you checked out the LBAK plugin?
