I used to help edit a Science Fiction eZine names Astounding tales. It was lots of work and ultimately very painful and frustrating.<\/p>\n

There is, however, a part of me that would like to try it again.<\/p>\n

I was thinking that this time I would make it an eReader magazine that would send a couple of stories each week to a person’t Kindle or Nook or whatever. I have already written the technology to push content to the Kindle and there are similar APIs for the other eReaders.<\/p>\n

This eReader tech is coming into its own and the PC market is fragmenting into specialty hardware like Tablets, Phones, PDAs, MP3 players, and eReaders.<\/p>\n

I would have to accept stories, pay for them, edit them and then push the stories out to a list.<\/p>\n

It would be fun to do, except that I don’t think I could read the slush pile. I have definite tastes in Spec Fic and I would not want to deal with the tons of crap that authors would send me.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
